MY RELIGION

"my conscience is my religion and the street is my temple"
The conscience is an aptitude, faculty , intuition or judgment that assists in distinguishing right from wrong. The remorseful feeling or guilt an individual feels after the commit that which is wrong is the torture by the conscience, the satisfaction and joy we feel when we do that which is good is the credit by the conscience. In other words, our action are judge by our conscience and no man liveth without a conscience. Is it possible that a man do what is evil without him knowing he is doing evil?  No, the conscience is there to torture him and try to set him on the right path. Imagine those time you didn't do your assignment,  even before you get to the appropriate authority you already have this spirit in your mind telling you "you have done wrong and you will be punished".  That is your conscience.
A religion  is a cultural system of behaviors and practices, world views, sacred texts, holy places, ethics, and societal organisation that relate humanity to what an anthropologist has called "an order of existence". Religion may consist the believe in supernatural beings or entity,  believe in divinity, believe in mysteries,  believe in scared things, or BELIEVE IN SOME OTHER NORMS THAT WILL PROVIDE POWER THE REST OF SOMEONE'S LIFE. A religion must be a set of believes or cultural practices which must be practice and sermonised in a place dedicated for such purpose. For example as Christians believes in God and worship him in a church,  Muslims believes in Allah and the worship him in the mosque.
Generally the word Street means a paved road or a place people can  assemble and Interact and move about freely, but the street we shall be discussing in this context transcend just it's literal translation. The street consist of our environment either urban or rural and how we relate with the people in such environment either poor or rich. In short the environment you occupy is your street and how are you affecting your street?
My conscience is my religion and the street is the temple.  The conscience tells you what is wrong and what is good,  and in other to put its teaching into practice we need a temple for it and that is the street.  The place where we could see our fellow humans suffering,  oppression and discontent. The remorse god(conscience) tells us to help and of we fail to help it pricks back as a punishment for our offence.
Einstein once said never go against your conscience even if the state demands it.  Now am saying never go against your own conscience even if your religion demands it. For the conscience is the almost measure of religion set up by our mother nature and we have to always yield to it.
Richard Bach once observed that the conscience is the measure of the honesty of your selfishness. Listen to it carefully. Is it not obnoxious then to see preachers, priest, imams and other spiritual leader live flamboyant and exotic life when there is still that poor man struggling on the street for scraps of foods. A preacher will have 4 private jets(can't 1 private jet do) when there is still a member of his church who can't afford a slippers conveniently. And then I was forced to ask where is the preacher's conscience?
Our conscience should be the greatest judge of our character and nothing should stand in between. And to achieve a good conscience we need to feed it with good character and be open minded
